That sounds like an extreme fantasy. Yes, the GOP deserves to be dismantled, and all those who still want a conservative party need to start from scratch with some ethics and morals. But it won't happen. We've seen so many previous predictions that the GOP was toast, and then came 2024, when the GOP revealed that it's pure FILTH. But never underestimate the stupidity of the US voter, the GOP will not be dismantled and replaced by a party that is loyal to the Constitution and the rule of law. You know people thought Trump was done when he lost to Biden. Nope. The Republicans thought the country had turned to them in 2024 and so they gerrymandered assuming the Hispanics were going to be theirs. Nope. So the worst thing the Democrats could do is assume the country has turned blue after these midterms. If they want to keep those voters they better do a better job than they did in 2020-2024. It will be important that the rank and file pick the next presidential candidate for the Democrats. Three times the party elite picked the candidate and that was disastrous (even though Biden won).

Trump and Rs will NOT give up power on 1/3/27. They control the military, the DOJ, ICE, elections, the Supreme Court, and congress. Trump doesn’t want jail. Trump/Vought etc. will do EVERYTHING to stay in control. They will delay the election counts by sowing doubt. Hundreds of court cases will clog the system. He’ll postpone the swearing in of new members of congress, declare emergencies, and declare martial law if there are big protests. The Supreme Court will delay rulings. Trump has installed loyal election officials in R states. There is nothing stopping him, outside of many millions of people showing up in Washington DC in January to physically enforce the election.
Can you imagine... in an economy with so much aggravation toward Republicans. With a president more unpopular than any President ever at the point of midterms.
