Who could be Manchester United's next manager if Michael Carrick is sacked? 🤔 | ESPN FC

The common denominator in the last 6 years are the players. They don't need, yet again, a new manager, they need a fire sale. If not a fire sale, the players causing the division in the locker room, need to be knocked down a notch. Drop them out of the squad, bring up some of the reserve players. The club leadership needs to have a it's my way or the highway stance. I guess being a retired Marine, I would have put those players in their place. But I've been told you can't treat people the way I'm used to dealing with fuckups anymore.

A very bad decision not to sack him they have made a bad move giving him the job on a permanent basis and now not sacking him is a wrong decision again. You do not run a club with sentiments* Make the change now that the season to win things is still achieveable. For example slot won the premier league his first season and was sacked even after qualifying for champions league. Carrick should have not gotten the job on a permanent basis, they should have gone for unai emery then. Now they have wasted this season again, while other teams are growing even tottenham. Its annoying.

I hope for their sake that they go for Antonio Conte, who is historically an expert in turnarounds. They already let him slip through their fingers a few years back in favor of the "amazing" Rangnick project—well, to err is human, but to persist in one’s error is diabolical.
