Acting Police Minister Cachalia starts process to appoint Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi as Hawks head

Acting Minister of Police, Firoz Cachalia, has initiated the process to appoint a new National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, or the Hawks.

Cachalia has submitted a Cabinet Memorandum seeking Cabinet's concurrence for the appointment of Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi to leqad the DPCI.

The appointment will then be reported to Parliament.
