I don&#39;t get why the ESPN crew are being so generous with Arsenal here. Haven&#39;t they consistently stated that Arsenal have the best squad in all of England, perhaps even the world? <br>What, then, is the benefit of assembling such a roster if they won&#39;t try to compete for EVERY trophy available?

It doesn&#39;t matter how much they don&#39;t care about the Carabao cup. Arsenal getting mogged off by a bottom of the table League Two side is an embarrassment. And they can say it was the B team all they want, but Arsenal put out quite a few of the first team starters and subbed on even more. Plus, even if they had started their entire reserve side, they absolutely should&#39;ve still beaten a League Two club.

On that Max Dowman thing, how do you punish an angry reaction to a horrendous challange but not the horrendous challange itself? I&#39;m not an Arsenal fan, but that doesn&#39;t make any sense. Thankfully for Dowman his legs are okay, but he had every right to be upset at receiving a challange like that. Even if there was no intent to hurt the player, as a footballer you know, you just know, when you go hard into somebody, you know when you might leave a mark. And there is nothing perhaps wrong with leaving a mark on somebody just to kind of let them know you&#39;re there and you&#39;re not going to play nice but it&#39;s another thing to go in flying the way he did, knowing that your momentum is going to take you into the player, which can be really reckless. And all Dowman did was get in his face a little, not like he did anything egrecious but somehow gets a red card for far less than the challange he received? And we can argue all day the player got the ball first or got the ball as well, but we&#39;ve seen red cards for less severe challanges in this game.
