Residents of Mafarafara Village outside Burgersfort in Limpopo have constructed their own makeshift bridge to cross the Tubatse River.
The bridge, made of corrugated iron sheets and wooden poles, assists residents in accessing a clinic across the river in Taung Village.
The bridge, erected three weeks ago, has also helped initiates who are undergoing initiation on a mountain across the river.
The Fetakgomo-Tubatse Local Municipality says it has escalated the issue to relevant authorities at the provincial level.
