Police are claiming a breakthrough in the search for the masterminds of Melbourne's so-called bar wars.
A 20-year-old Melbourne man was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged over a series of violent attacks on Melbourne hospitality venues.
Police say the man co-ordinated the attacks on behalf of Kazem Hamad, the exiled crime boss who also orchestrated Victoria's tobacco wars.
The young man arrested has allegedly risen through the ranks of the infamous syndicate, all from inside his family home
Crime reporter Olivia Jenkins has the details.
