Transport Minister Barbara Creecy says the passenger rail industry is not a threat to the taxi industry. She says it is a collaboration of all forms of transportation, which aims to transport customers from one end to the next. This comes as government continues its goal of sourcing investment to place rail back as the backbone for the transportation of people and goods. Creecy was speaking at the Southern Africa Transport Conference in Pretoria, under the theme "Developing and Sustaining Transport Systems in an Uncertain World".
