The KwaZulu-Natal government says it will intensify inspections at businesses across the province to identify employers hiring undocumented foreign nationals.
Speaking in Durban, Premier Thami Ntuli says the inspections are part of government's response to concerns raised during Tuesday's nationwide protests against undocumented immigrants.
The province plans to release a report on the financial impact of the marches in the coming days. Business operations were disrupted in many parts of the province.
