KZN authorities have declared full operational readiness to police the nationwide anti-illegal immigration protests scheduled for Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

KZN Premier Thami Ntuli, Acting Provincial Police Commissioner Major-General Phumelele Makoba, and national safety clusters outlined comprehensive strategies to ensure the province remains stable and that the protests do not mirror the destructive July 2021 unrest
