France values South African ties despite G7 exclusion

France's Ambassador to South Africa, David Martinon, says Paris deeply values its partnership with Pretoria.

France is preparing to host the G7 Leaders' Summit in June.

However, South Africa has not been invited to the gathering of the world's seven leading advanced economies.

Martinon says France is also looking ahead to the France-Africa Summit in Nairobi, Kenya next month.
