KZN Social Development MEC Mbali Shinga seeks interdict to block NFP move to expell her

NFP President, Ivan Barnes, has to wait at least two weeks before he can be sworn in as a new member of the KZN legislature.

In an affidavit filed in court, Speaker Nontembeko Boyce denied claims by expelled NFP Provincial Chairperson, Mbali Shinga, that she plans to swear Barnes in on Thursday to fill the seat left vacant by Shinga's expulsion.

Shinga has gone to court seeking an urgent interdict against the move.
