This is a political problem. Because the world has to connect authoritarian countries such as China to the global market. Then if the West doesn't develop AI (or whatever else—batteries, solar panels, lead-based pollution (everything called "green"))—China will do it, and everybody will be using China's AI. China will not care about the environmental problem of its colonies, not that it ever cares about any environmental problem of China itself right now.

To those who support this selfish leader, listen to what he actually says: “I would like to have data centers. It doesn't mean I want them right next to my house, but certainly I like them in my county.” (DJT October 1, 2026) It’s time to take back the House and Senate, hold Trump accountable for his wrongdoing, and put impeachment back on the table.

Artificial intelligence and automation are beginning to eliminate and reshape jobs in the U.S. retail sector, though the impact is currently concentrated in corporate, administrative, and routine frontline roles rather than wiping out store jobs entirely. In my county, the Data Center is requesting 10 times more energy than our infrastructure is currently set up to provide. Only a few Commissioners are being granted the authority to make decisions about the Data Center, instead of City Council Members, where they could be getting input from the public. That’s just not right. I’m not against Data Centers, I’m against the lack of transparency about the Data Center deal and lack of ability for citizens to decide whether they want a Data Center in their city and county.
