We are NOT meddling with U.S. elections. The Trump regime is setting up Canada as a scapegoat if Trump loses House and Senate. Not true, no way. This is a separate country. The Trump regime meddled in the Alberta issue. The regime are parroting this all over mainstream media.🇨🇦

This is one of the many "reasons" Trump will use to undermine US elections in two weeks, citing an "emergency" to seize ballots in order to "ensure their integrity" against voter fraud, which is practically nonexistent in the US.

The nerve of the Americans, whose ambassador to Ottawa has been meeting with Alberta separatists. Total gaslighting narcissists.
@logaandm
@@logaandmImported1wk ago
Utter nonsense and hypocrisy of the highest order. For example, the US ambassador to Canada met with separatists from Alberta before the referendum. And that is just one of many examples of interference in Canadian politics by the United States. Further, US officials and Trump himself have openly expressed support for various political parties in Europe over the last few years. So Europeans are familiar with this "do as I say, not as I do" attitude common in US political culture.

As for which of the two parties Canada prefers in the US, that is actually a complex question. Philosophically it might seem Canadians would be more aligned with the Democrats, historically Canada has done better under Republican administrations. Both US parties have regularly use and blamed Canada for political purposes. A good example might be Hillary Clinton who once said some of the 9-11 terrorists traveled through Canada. None did. All went to the United States on legally issued visas. None had anything to do with or traveled through Canada. These sorts of myths are widely held by Americans, many of whom should know better.

Blaming others is the notable and common characteristic of Americans culture.

The US government having officials meet with Alberta separatist leaders amidst the referendum campaign in Alberta was MAJOR political interference. None of those separatists were elected officials who had some official business meeting with them, so why did they have any interest in meeting with them? Because they were interested in encouraging these separatists pursuing seeking Alberta to leave Canada. The US government is an enemy of Canada as of now.
