Update on outcome of Ekurhuleni's bid to buy electricity from independent producers

The Minister of Electricity and Energy, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, has announced in Pretoria the outcome of the City of Ekurhuleni's application for approval to procure electricity from Independent Power Producers.

The approval will allow the city to source more electricity and marks an important step in South Africa's electricity reform efforts.
