Regime change has a negative connotation. In the US when republicans take over from democrats or vice versa have you ever heard anyone call it regime change? In the UK when labour party takes over from the Tories does anyone call it regime change? No. Prashant Bhushan screwed up in his press conference and now they are trying to cover up by normalizing the word to mean a simple change of govt. Regime change is forceful illegal taking over of power by unfair means. Period.
