On this Indigenous Americans Day 2026, thank you for this inspirational conversation! My family comes from the lower Appalachians and so many dams have forever changed the land, the rivers and streams. So many losses of historical and cultural areas that are now beneath lakes 250 feet deep...

God loves you and cares for you so that this message reaches you. God is the one who created this large universe and controls it completely. The greatest loss a person loses in this life is that he lives without knowing God who created him and knowing the Messenger of Muhammad, the last of the messengers, and the Islamic religion, the last of the heavenly religions. Great intelligence, before you believe in something or not, is to read it, study it, and understand it well, and after that you have the choice to believe in it or not to believe in it. I've seen plenty of talks about saving the planet, but hearing Amy speak about the Klamath — a river her own people watched suffer for a century — felt personal in a way statistics never could. The thought of the salmon finally coming home again moved me more than I expected. Stories like this remind me why we keep telling them.

They always pretend its white genocide that consumes all the resources, as if modern "natives" and all cultures around the world today aren't all doing the same because most people prefer comfort, food, housing, heat, cooling, clothing and modern conveniences, and that small tribal populations of old are to be compared to modern large populations today. And somehow those same genocidal people do respond to fix problems that prior generations did.
