Women bikers from across the Garden Route in the Eastern Cape turned out in their numbers on Saturday to mark International Female Ride Day.
The first ever Female Bike Day was held in Toronto, Canada in 2007 as an initiative to highlight women in motorcycling, but it has since grown into a global sisterhood on two wheels.
Here at home, riders believe the event not only highlights the strength of the local biking community, it also firmly places the Garden Route on the world map.
