If it was Russia or China… the media would have already said it… I’m will to be it’s in connection with the country that no one dares mention, because if you do your entire life would be brought to ruin 🫣

Never heard about protocols?
People should be shift or even remove from duty only because of the time and post they served.
If those agencies won't know how to protect themselves first how would you trust them to protect a nation?

Let me guess Russia
@evildarkness4490
Everybody knows if it were Russia or China they would have named the agency he was spying for. Of course DW cannot name the actual most likely suspects.

Edit: Confirmed to not be Russia BTW and it’s 99% chance Mossad

Germany probably should have dealt with this much more seriously after reunification. The Stasi worked closely with the Soviet KGB, and people who held sensitive positions in East Germany should have been thoroughly vetted for possible Soviet connections, recruitment, or kompromat. Especially people from the generation that was active during the Cold War. It’s a complicated issue, but definitely not something that should be ignored.

I keep thinking this will tie into the Epstein files. Maybe it's the kidnapping attempt and the time frame.

Germany needs to name the countries. Otherwise the charges are false.

The arrest of a former head of Germany's foreign intelligence is unprecedented and could damage the country's intelligence relationships with allied nations, according to a senior security lawmaker
@BonsaiBlacksmith
Oh wow, hope they found out who he was really working for.
