The current policies to fight the drug trade is like throwing water in a bucket with a hole at the bottom. Lots of publicity catching the supply but the demand is not removed from society. To stop the incentive to trade drugs the demand and supply needs to be removed. Can a 0.25 VAT increase to pay for removing the demand from society not be implemented? We are loosing the battle against illegal drugs.
