Tbh, much of that Rundfunk media is just not really well made. I don't think that they should do entertaintment stuff (maybe only for kids would be alright) and I don't think like Students should pay that fee, as it is quite annoying to loose that money for me every month, when I already struggle to get enough for food, while studying and working.
Tja, Pech gehabt.
If they make the fee non mandatory and make it such that those who pay can watch then I will applaud. Any media should be subject to the market forces, no media should collect mandatory fees even when someone does not watch it.
What is meant is broadcasting by "public law"... The State delegated certain tasks to certain broadcasters and "broadcasting councils"... I doubt this can constitutionally be put in question by civil law... One only could ask in how far they fulfill their public tasks on behalf of the state...
9bil euro is about 1.7% of only the federal government's budget for 2025 btw 🥀 🥀 Maybe they should tackle real problems instead of trying to restrict freedom of speech
🤔 it seems similar to what happened in Hungary after 2010

As for your complaint for it spreading leftish ideas 😅
It's only sounds like it.
Media always reports things about progress and changing events.
Now imagine if the most interesting topic turns into the annual harvest festival 🤦
So it's not that independent media is leftist 😅
The far right is just tad boring 🪴 and you still have to report about the so called leftist development because it affects your own life.
And it is their own responsibility.
Also a lot of things that you attitude to the right wing actually started out as left wing ideas embraced by you or your parents.
Starting with your own religious dogmas 😅
I‘d pay double that for ARTE, ARTE concert, wdr rockpalast, swr handwerkskunst und viele viele mehr. And with how often the far right can just talk uninterrupted in those talk shows, I don’t think there is any difference between any of the political party’s either
As Long as our Money goes to biased Left leaning Media that doesnt Portrait anything freely without Left political ideas ?!?!?! Yes we should stop funding actors like that !!! They all biased Like DW itself ! Scam journalism !
Germany's public broadcasting system is facing renewed scrutiny as the far-right AfD pushes to end the interstate media treaty that regulates and funds public broadcasters. With the party potentially taking power in Saxony-Anhalt, critics warn the state could become a test case for broader efforts to weaken independent media.
