Absolutely true. Ronaldo was already washed up three years ago; Portugal had a terrible coach, and the team was run by Ronaldo, which really held them back. Martínez was a puppet for Ronaldo and a shitty coach. Now we have a good coach who has put an end to the embarrassment of the Ronaldo era.

Ronaldo would have stayed until 2030 and would have tried the same nonsense trying to play in front of the home fans. Thank you JJ for doing what had to be done !

Cristiano Ronaldo needs to understand that he is 42 years old and not 26 nor 33 but 42. He is not playing well, missing open goals because mother nature doesn’t care how many Ballon Dors you won and who you are. You are now too old for football. Let the kids play bro and go enjoy your billions.

He wanted to retire after the World Cup and they called him up. Why did they call him up in the first place? I suspect that they saw him as a cash cow because he's still very popular in terms of a draw and ticket sales even though his performance is no longer up to his past levels. Now he's made out to look like the bad guy in this scenario because of his ego and reputation. Ultimately, winning fixes everything. The real fans and people of Portugal will stand with their team. I think there is more to this story, and the truth will come out eventually...

Ronaldo cannot be a starter at this stage of his career.. however to have him warm up and not play isn't right... respect. Also he's a major part of Portugal FA 's commercial value..

Good riddance. The Portuguese have been asking him to step down for a very long time. He’s always been all about himself. Track record proves it.
And clowns dare compare him to. Messi

In ronaldo defense, seems like Jorge brought him on false pretenses , noone likes being lied to . But ronaldo still should have sucked it up for the fans .

Sounds like this coach has a big ego! He should speak to the South Korean coach.
@FootballerVault
Imagine if Portugal wins the Nations League without CR7 😬 That would finally shutter his ego forever
@geronimocochise2033
Yamal might come to rival Messi and Ronaldo. He’s ahead of both of them statistically at the same age.

Irrespective of the numbers so three coaches from three different teams have benched him for lack of performance? I don't think a good player has that kind of a record let alone a great player. His act became obvious which was nothing more than standing there hoping for grunts to give him the ball. He never was a great player and never will be. Just drama and over the top theater.

Portugal has finally moved on from him. Wonder when ESPN and Kay will move on from him.
