Europe and US (The colelctive West) is the absolute master of siezing and freezing assets of foreign governments, in the pretext of some made up democracy, rule of law etc. when other countries do 1% of what they do then they run these nbarratives through mouth pieces like DW, France 24 etc.

Better question, why the F you still had these companies operating in Russia during these "unprecedented sanctions", glad Russia is ceasing them, maybe our oligaths will learn an expensive lesson in the cost of hypocrisy.
Sanctions to both ways. What did these EU countries expect? Obviously what Russia did invading Ukraine is wrong, but EU froze Russian assets and sanctioned and confiscated Russian property. What's surprising is that it has taken this long for Russia to seize EU companies.
Of corse US hasn’t been targeted. Putin and Trump are bum buddies.
