Xi Jinping certainly knows that the US and China will not be friends, but they will definitely be rivals. However, it's just a matter of politeness to say that. When you visit someone, you have to speak politely. There's no way around it; it's normal.

It is universally recognized that uncontrolled AI ultimately threatens humanity's survival. China's government already controls the nation's AI research, development, and application for at least desired safety. Democratic governments should also control AI as a public utility, and oversee and license its use as does the FCC.

<br>1. All must join to stop AI&#39;s Mutually Assured Destruction.
<br>2. China pragmatically wants governments to thwart MAD.
<br>3. There must be multination AI Commissions to control AI.
<br>4. Trust in government(s) is prime, despite U.S. tottering.
<br>5. Must create trusted govt(s), and bar privately-owned AI.
<br>6. Govts join scientists &amp; philosophers to seek safe courses.
<br>7. License and regulate all private AI use.
<br>8. Doing all this takes time, so govts must slow AI growth.
<br>9. U.S. Congress must overcome Trump&#39;s laxity, and lead.
