Noise cancelation doesn't save your ears from damage to loud noises. <br><br>It's more of a nice thing to have in a bothering environment like a full office or the subway.

AirPods are the only necessary wearable/accessory. <br>I prefer the pro models but they’re all really good.
I love these air pods and have used the 4s and the original pros but with both at about a year and a half to two year mark they have both failed in one of two ways. On the pros I had the static/buzzing problem and had them replaced and the replaced one had the same problem again. and recently I had to stop using my 4s because one earbud started to have a weird ANC problem were one ear sounds spacially wrong like I have water in one ear. I love these earphones above all else because I'm not a huge fan of silicone or any kind of ear tips and the ANC can't be beat. But the failure rate for my personal experience is unacceptable and I take care of my earphones. My only caveat is that I wear them daily and for most of the day, many days in a row but I think they should last longer than 2 years. Suppose I will have to try apple care for the 5s when I get them. <br><br>I would love to see a video about the failure rate and kinds of failures they've publicly had. I'm pretty sure the static/buzzing problem of the original pros lead to a class action law suite but I may be mistaken.
I really wish there was an android app, or maybe true multipoint.. People would still most likely buy apple products at the same rate as before, but the headphones and earbuds would just be free money if they supported android. 🤷🏻♂️

Airpods are also my 1 Apple product that I stan. I don't use them anymore, lifestyle changes had me switch to open ear clip on style. But if I needed noise canceling again, I'm going right back.

On old Ipods you used to be able to pick equalizers, thats been gone now for... god, at least 10 years if not many, many years more, but i wish there was something like that on phones, where you can tweak the equalizer and change the sound of whatever you're listening to, speakers, headphones, the speakers on the phone, whatever. Dont know why they ever got rid of it but id like to have that option to be able to tweak things to whatever the person listening to wants, or leave it off

I agree with Linus, the AirPods 5 are great. I am Mr. AirPods, they go in pretty much as soon as I get up and I have them in all day, the only time I stop using them is for sleep (where I use some dedicated sleep headphones which are nice and flat).<br><br>I actually bought two pairs of the AP5s so that when one pair needs charging I can switch to the other pair (which is something I started doing with the AP4s). The noise cancelling is definitely almost as good as the AP2s (which I seldom use as in-ear buds irritate my ear canals). It’s great to finally have volume controls on the stems too. All in all, definitely the best AirPods yet.

The problem with airpods is that the most basic features has never been available, since the very first model! Like CUSTOM EQ, and I don't mean 3 bands EQ like they just released, let me listen to my music the way I want it to sound dammit... because the raw EQ on it is soooo not what it should sound like. The frequencies spectrum could be way better too, like actually having sub frequencies in it. It's a device made for AUDIO, somehow stuff like that is missing. Of course the noise cancellation is amazing and the battery life is excellent. But also some audio listening modes actually ruins the quality of the music you listen to, so most consumers that aren't audio engineers don't even know why their music doesn't sound the way it should, NEVER activate spatial audio on a stereo mix, oh my god...

I think airpods reviews should point out the fact that depending on the person, airpods might stay in your ears like they were glued and airpod pros fall out whenever you yawn, and for others the complete opposite is true. I've never met someone for whom both stay in just as well. And for a lot of people (myself included) we don't even get to choose between them because only one is viable lol

ANY in-ear product that doesn’t have adjustment for ear canal sizes is a complete waste of time. I love my AirPod pros (with third party ear tips), and was happy to hear that Apple extended ANC to the non-pros… but then I saw the same fully hard, non-conforming design that only fits the middle part of the bell curve. Immediately keeps them off the table for me, my wife, my children, my parents, my nephews, my nieces, and over half of my overall circle. They have all tried AirPods at one point or another and all of them have figment issues. Don’t care for a moment if they fit “fine” for 3 to 5 billion people,the other 5 to 3 billion of us need ear-tip options. <br><br>I’m annoyed at Apple because in my own house I purchase 1-2 pairs of headphones per person (other than myself) per year because of junk dying or just chasing the “perfect” option, and I spend my time guarding my pros with my life because everyone keeps stealing them because with ear-tip options, they fit everyone. So just buy them pros… I almost have, but the kids aren’t quite old enough or responsible enough for that investment yet and the wife hates ANC because it hurts her ears. The non-pro price makes sense for them, but they can’t wear them. Dammit Apple.

Been an avid apple disliker my whole life due to their "yesterdays technology for tomorrows prices" strategy.. amidst the RAMpocalypse they are a saving grace to the techworld. I really wish Apple would just create an adaptor to make your AirPods wired. Cause my relationship w these things are love-hate. On one hand, they’re convenient to use and have a great form factor. On the other, every pair I’ve had the left AirPod ALWAYS and I mean always ends up blowing out and becoming noticeably lower in sound volume and quality than the other. After awhile the battery life is just awful and they’re so expensive to just keep replacing. Would love a way to just use them w/o having to worry abt battery life or unreliable sound quality. 😭
As someone with sensory issues, my AirPods 4s and AirPods Pro 3 are genuinely game changing.<br><br>Something so small you literally forget you even have them on you at all times, that helps tune down the outside world and can be used to listen to stuff? at this price point? genuinely incredible technology.

Airpods are great, I've been using them for a couple of years already on my PC, so much better than a headset which puts alot of weight on your head/ears and has an annoying cable. The quality is amazing, and charges so fast!

What about the sensation of pressure in your head when you enable ANC on these? That is my main issue with my AirPods 4 with ANC, and it is why I almost never use the feature, which is a shame.

No Linus, I won't be buying these. After two pairs of earphones (Jabra and then Sony) died on me, I switched to wired IEMs, and don't miss wireless earbuds one bit. Not even ANC, because it's unnecessary, as IEMs provide more than enough passive noise isolation from just being in your ears.

I've been absolute convert to Airpods Pro ever since they came out. Had a gen 1 and a gen 2. They just absolutely nail exactly enough if what they need to in a form factor that's so convenient. Still sounds like these don't do enough to make up for the lack of an actual air seal, but thatctiny case is something else.
