China and India are 2 of the world's biggest refiners with a lot of refine exports. California, for one, buys India export. Even with that, diesel in California is now on the edge of $10/gal. If China and India cuts refining exports, a lot of downstream countries will be in a world of hurt.

Since when has the United States cared about anyone else’s opinion?<br><br>The irony is that Washington still sees itself as the lion, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the world has changed and its once-unquestioned dominance is no longer assured.<br><br>The lion may not concern itself with the opinions of sheep, but what happens when those it dismisses are no longer sheep?<br><br>Yet Washington continues to wield tariffs as a weapon, threatening India and China with duties of up to 100% for purchasing Russian oil.<br><br>The question is no longer whether the lion cares about the opinions of others, but whether it can afford to keep ignoring them.
