Police ban balaclavas in Nottingham city centre. #Balaclavas #Nottingham #BBCNews
The problem is if the kids black or brown the get told to get on their way but if when they take the face covering off n they're white they'll be hit with the full force of the law. I don't think so mate. If your gonna pick n choose which protest can cover their faces n which can't your gonna have a problem (especially after the poor policing n governance we've seen in recent years).
For those complaining about certain religeous groups not getting the same treatment... you are missing the point.

Balaclavas have been around for a very, very long time, and have always been an issue with recognition. So why now? Nothing to do with facial recognition cameras by any chance? No?

Same old divide and conquer tactic, you are very easy to jump at people you have been conditioned to hate, by the very people that caused their displacement and immigration in the first place and made no effort to integrate them into british society.

Wake up people, your neighbour is not your enemy.
Why not ban all face coverings, these kids will just start wearing burkas of covid masks instead. Now a legal motorcyclist has to remember they absolutely must remove their balaclava or face the possibility of fine. Stupid ban. As long as their are cameras watching them they will try and conceal their identity.
Those are The Patriots😂😂 really its a joke rip old days when this once was an empire no wonder why its fallen these gens need to wake up and stop using drugs you are really destroying yourselves and your country
If religions are exempt, they can just create a religion and make balaclavas the religious headwear. In the UK, a religious group can achieve legal status by registering as a charity, certifying a place of worship and then choosing an organisational structure.
So ive had this in london ........ and i won a dispute because of the time of year it was november and it was cold .....theres no law on keeping warm so bare that in mind because they will use this power to exploit people that arent even criminals

Bang goes our freedom of wearing what we want
Good about the ban, but how about that copper? Sarcasm is incredibly unprofessional. If he's willing to speak like that on television, how the hell does he speak to the community?
