Ignore the repeated pro migration propaganda from ABC, migration numbers need to fall.

There’s 3 million already on temp visas and over 100k that have no visas at all after their applications have been rejected.

If politicians, rather than economists, are going to run economic policy, we shouldn’t be surprised when politics wins and the economy loses.

Why do I get the feeling that when economics and market demand have their final say, every party's numbers will be pretty similar.

The Trump approach to leading the nation. Yes! I would love to import that dumpster fire into our nation. We also just have to ignore Rinehart has One Nation as her personal puppet to believe his bs.

One Nation is a joke.

I work with a woman. It took her husband 15 years to get a visa.

There will be a recession in 2027 regardless. Importing more workers=higher unemployment. Individual workers have been in gdp decline for more than ten years. Our holes in the ground only stretch so far, when we have to share the contents with new arrivals.

Oh yeah, Rhinehart's puppets Pauline and Barnaby are going to tell us the truth! We never planned anything long term in this country and trying to do firefighting/finger pointing whenever a crisis happens! Anything new

Australia - is this what we are/ have become? Apart from the obvious moral dilemmas of making our current immigrant population feel unwelcome, industries like the one I work in would collapse without skilled / working visa holders. Students prop-up our universities, unskilled workers do the work that privileged Aussies won’t do, and other migratory means enrich our culture built on migration (notwithstanding First Nations people). There’s a racist underbelly of a good deal of Aussies that appears in election cycles every-so-often. If we’re going to limit migration, start with Americans.

Considering Beetroot was an accountant you think he would understand economics better. Glad he didn’t do my taxes

Once again, multinationals are taking our wealth — gas, minerals and resources — while our political parties and mainstream media keep us divided over issues with far less real cost impacts.
As Asia has grown economically stronger and the West has buried itself in debt fighting wars abroad, political division at home provides the perfect distraction for the transfer of our wealth to continue.
We’re the low-hanging fruit.

Politicians should make policy based on advice from relevantly qualified experts instead of populist policies based on public opinions borne out of partisan rhetoric.
Barnaby is a power hungry grub who backflipped on his endless criticism of ON after realising that he became irrelevant in the National Party.

People in this country have never had foresight and long-term planning, only short-sightedness and narrow-mindedness.

Canada significantly cut migration, especially temporary migrants and students.
