With midterms looming and affordability issues in the US getting more coverage, the White House’s messaging on Iran has become more about economic victory than military.
Samira Mohyeddin and former US Assistant Secretary of State Mark Kimmitt spoke with us.
That former secretary is really trying to thread the needle where parsing rhetorical context.

He's maintaining that Iran is incorrectly making it about the United States being at war with Iran. Flat out wrong. Iran's propaganda make clear... We understand the American public are not big fans of the Iranian Islamic regime. We're not even attempting to curry American sentiment in our favor.

The irony is that he is exactly right however that it is not going to be about Iran in the midterms. It's going to be about what is unfolding in Iran is incompatible with what was promised by the Trump administration during the course of his campaign for 2024... And in two parts.

No more foreign wars.
Making America affordable again.

And that's besides... First order of business will be outing and ousting those complicit in the Epstein saga.

Republicans are barely hanging on to even immigration and borders as their go to propaganda trope. Not necessarily among the Base.... But certainly among the contingent that has all the earmarks of defining and dictating the outcome of the midterms which is independents.

Independents swung wildly for Trump in 2024... Stay tuned for what happens in 2026 perhaps even 2028.
It's this administration's goal to cause confusion and uncertainty while saying everything is fine and robbing the US taxpayers and blackmailing our allies.
Americans won't mobilize because the war isn't affecting their lives in a deadly way, it's only causing dissatisfaction because it's affecting their pockets, if Iran hasn't make this an economic war too vast majority of Americans won't even care.
Why feature Kimmitt? This guy is an unscrupulous Neocon DC establishment lackey who justified blowing up civilian gatherings in Iraq under W. Bush saying 'Bad people have celebrations too."
THIS is who you turn to for insight?
These people are the problem: they make their living wantonly bringing death and misery to people on behalf of the MIC.
Strange choice...maybe not so strange
