The case against alleged underworld crime boss Nafiz Modack and 14 others has been postponed until the 5th of next month in the Western Cape High Court. This after accused number 10, Yannick Adonis told the court after the lunch break that he is unable to proceed with his testimony because he is tired and wishes to end his life. Adonis further told the court that he is not in his right state of mind. Presiding judge, Robert Henney then ruled that the matter be postponed and a social worker organised for the accused to assess him. Henney said said mental health is a very serious issue, and therefore Adonis should be given sometime to rest so that he can be able to face harsh cross-examination of the state. The matter was then postponed to the 5th of October.
