Family members of victims of the Sharpeville Massacre will stage a silent walk of witness to the events of 21 March 1960, when at least 91 people were killed and 238 people wounded by police who opened fire on the crowd of 5 000 peaceful protestors who had gathered to protest against pass laws that required Black South Africans to carry pass books. The walk of witness will follow the same route taken by the marchers who started the protest. SABC News Reporter, Nomvuyo Ntanjana is with the marchers.
