Millions of rands worth of stolen guardrails have led investigators to two key suspects linked to a major road infrastructure syndicate in KwaZulu-Natal.
One of those arrested is allegedly the kingpin.
They were apprehended during a joint operation between the Transport Department's special security team and the SAPS Organised Crime Unit.
The breakthrough came after an alleged runner from Inanda led investigators directly to a scrap metal company in Jacobs, south of Durban.
