Anti-immigration protests directly impacting South Africa's tourism and hospitality sector

The South African tourism sector says it's seeing the effects of the recent anti-immigration protests taking place across the country.

Stakeholders say because the sector is heavily dependent on perception, the protests are harming the industry.

However, some township businesses say they are starting to see an increase in foot traffic in their establishments due to some shops being closed down.
