BBC, please stop being antisemitic. West Bank is not occupied land

It's real name is Judea and Samaria, and it's been Jewish land since the ancient kingdom of Israel was first made by the Canaanite people around 2000 BC

That land is rightfully owned by the Jews, not the Palestinians
@marcdawson2156
I like to think I’m fairly impartial on this conflict given I know both sides are as bad as each other, that said there have been many instances over the last couple of years where Israeli’s have been attacking and killing within the West Bank without any real action by the Israeli government so this feels very worrying for any Palestinians living in the West Bank. Just what will this attack be used to justify?

🇮🇱 Israel has killed over 1000 Palestinians in the West Bank since 2023

Yet, not a word from the biased UK media.

Summary of Israeli Corporate Extractions from UK North Sea Oil & Gas

Delek Group, an Israeli energy conglomerate, is extracting billions of dollars from the UK North Sea through its subsidiary, Ithaca Energy, funneling hundreds of millions in profit directly back to Israel
Despite intense controversy surrounding Delek’s corporate ties—including its presence on a UN database of companies operating in illegal West Bank settlements and reports of its local branches providing fuel logistics to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF)—the company continues to use UK natural resources as a primary financial engine.

📊 Financial Breakdown of Corporate Extractions

The scale of capital being taken out of British waters by Ithaca Energy and routed to its Israeli parent company is massive:
• Annual North Sea Revenue: Ithaca Energy pulls in roughly $3 billion annually from its UK extraction operations.
• Operating Earnings: The firm generates a massive underlying profit (EBITDAX of approximately $2.0 billion per year.
• Free Cash Flow: After accounting for immediate operational costs, the basin yields about $683 million in surplus cash annually.
• Dividends Flowing to Israel: Since 2020, Ithaca has paid out over $1 billion in total dividends straight to Delek Group. For the most recent financial year alone, Ithaca distributed $500 million in dividends, with Delek capturing a massive portion of that total.

⚠ Key Political and Legal Points for Parliamentary Inquiry

For an opposition MP reviewing this file, the core issues extend beyond the financial extraction to serious questions of geopolitical alignment, ethical procurement, and licensing
• Leverage Over the Energy Ministry: Ithaca Energy holds stakes in six of the UK's ten largest oil and gas fields, including a 20% stake in the massive Rosebank field. The company openly uses its financial might as political leverage. Executive Chairman Yaniv Friedman recently went on the record to explicitly warn the government that the firm will halt future UK energy investments if its major projects face further regulatory rejections.
• The UN Blacklist and International Law: Delek Group remains listed on the UN Human Rights Office database for its commercial activities in occupied territories. Opposition members and advocacy groups are raising serious questions as to whether allowing a UN-blacklisted entity to hold critical UK national infrastructure licenses compromises the UK's compliance with international legal standards.
• Profits Linked to Conflict Logistics: Independent investigative reports have tied Delek’s domestic operations to the refueling and servicing of IDF military logistics. This connection creates a direct line where profits generated from the extraction of British natural resources are entering the ledger of a company heavily entangled in a foreign military conflict.
• Call for Foreign Office Intervention: There is growing cross-party pressure on the Foreign Office and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero to review these licensing agreements. The core legislative question is whether the UK should continue permitting a blacklisted parent company to extract hundreds of millions of pounds from the North Sea while facing such severe human rights and international law controversies.
@paladinbob1236
apparently the westbank/gaza only comes up in the news, when israelis jews get hurt, if its palestinians its a no news day again , i suppose?
@christinepentz5982
.......maybe the BBC should give MUCH MORE coverage regarding the NAMES and LIVES of the 70 000+ Palestinians killed by the IDF since 7 Oct 2023!!!
@hamzariazuddin424
The idea of providing safety to Occupiers is one of the most deranged way to look at this.
@JohnnyJacksonGaming
BS! Satenyahu is doing this just to delay the election 🙄
@walking-stars-u6e
Convenient for Satanyahu. End the illegal occupation. Israel has no right to be there and is breaking the law.
