Soekarno fully understood why the US—which had initially condoned the Dutch military aggression following Indonesia's proclamation of independence subsequently withdrew its support for the Netherlands in 1949 and compelled the Dutch to negotiate, ultimately resulting in the Netherlands recognizing the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

This shift occurred because the US had discovered the secret regarding the world's largest gold deposit, which the Dutch had kept hidden.

Soekarno was astute enough not to be misled by US support; he continued to warn the world to be wary of "Neo-Colim" (neocolonialism and neo-imperialism—forms of colonialism and imperialism that operate without military invasion).but instead function through highly sophisticated instruments like the United Nations—an entity whose machinations were more cunning, savage, cruel, and rapacious than those of the past, yet managed to retain its legitimacy.

From that point on, the US consistently attempted to topple Soekarno through various means:
1945 – Proclamation of Indonesian Independence.

1945 – Operation Iceberg: Conducted by the Strategic Services Unit (SSU, a transitional organization prior to the formation of the CIA). US agents began establishing outposts in Jakarta, Medan, and Surabaya.

1947–1949 – Dutch and Allied military aggression, supported by the US, aimed at recolonizing Indonesia.

1948–1950s – The first CIA agent, Arthur J. Campbell, arrived in Indonesia, followed by Allen Dulles's network; they reportedly began to uncover the secret of the world's largest gold deposit in Papua (according to historian Greg Poulgrain in his book, *The Incubus of Intervention*).

1949 – The US withdrew its support for the Netherlands and forced the Dutch to negotiate, resulting in the Netherlands recognizing the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia.

1955: Sukarno initiated the Asian-African Conference, which produced the Bandung Declaration (Dasasila Bandung)—ten fundamental principles regarding global peace and cooperation, as well as opposition to neocolonialism and imperialism.

1955 Election: The CIA funneled large sums of covert funding (estimated at up to one million dollars) to support anti-communist political parties.

1957–1958: The US was involved in supporting the PRRI/Permesta rebellion; evidence of this emerged when a B-26 aircraft piloted by Allan Lawrence Pope—a CIA agent—was shot down by Indonesian military (TNI) forces in the waters off Ambon.

1959–1960: Exploration by Forbes Wilson (Freeport US) marked the beginning of a massive catastrophe for Indonesia.

1965–1967: A CIA "false flag" operation designed to incite internal conflict—known as the "Jakarta Method"—was successfully executed; this resulted in the bloodiest tragedy in Indonesian history.

The CIA was allegedly involved with the PKI (Indonesian Communist Party) Politburo in a coup plot to assassinate generals, yet simultaneously provided the TNI with "hunting lists" containing the names of thousands of PKI members and sympathizers to be eliminated.

The Outcome:
1967–1991: Indonesia was forced to submit to Freeport through the puppet regime of President Suharto.
For three decades, Indonesia was barred from holding even a 1% stake—effectively zero equity—receiving only taxes and royalties;
US neocolonialism proved to be even more rapacious and ruthless than Dutch colonialism.
Freeport made no contribution whatsoever to the affected region of Papua; instead, it repeatedly funded, provoked, and armed OPM separatists.

1991–2018: Indonesia received only royalties of 1–3.5% and negligible tax revenue, while still being denied any equity ownership. It was only from 2018 onwards—after Indonesia boldly countered Freeport with its own threats—that the country succeeded in securing a 51.23% majority stake through PT Inalum.

What happened to that world order, has it dismanteled , No its China Vs USA now. Countries are aligining to them either through military or economic incentives. USA is still dictating and all are following it, so NAM was an absolute failure because of corruption in those mmeber countries.

My couchsurfing host took me to the Asia Africa street in Bandung. We went to the museum too. I learned soooo much. Only half of the participating countries were independent(mine wasnt; Kenya 🇰🇪)
"We are united by a common detestation of colonialism in whatever form it appears. We are united by a common detestation of racialism. And we are united by a common determination to preserve and stabilize peace in the world." — President Sukarno 🇮🇩

They can depose and remove leaders, but they can't do the same thing to an idea as it will remain until the struggle is finished.

Colonialism never ended it's was repackaged with fake borders and nationals, they installed puppets and business continued as usual, if a country tried to control their resources you end up like Iran,Iraq,Syria,Sudan,Somalia,Yemen etc.
