Does MAGA really believe in the AI boom, or is Trump just majorly invested in it? #DailyShow #AI
I went to Ross dress for less, Albertsons and I just saw one cashier ring in us up and the other helping others with the self check out. We don’t have that person to person interaction anymore and soon it won’t be none. People have lost their jobs already.
we haven't been doing a particularly great job of training americans for the jobs we have had, currently have, so how can we expect they'll even know what jobs we will have
Robots are dancing, running marathons, & that imbecile thinks they can't "put in little screws" & build/fix other robots.
They won't need us for anything!
Can they cover North Korean taking remote jobs as a military front that #wallstreetjournal exposed ?
Those jobs are being done in China, for paltry wages. If companies agreed to bring those jobs to the US, they'd lose their obscene profits trying to comply with us labor laws. Not just wage increases, but all the safety regulations. Any company who agrees to this would likely only have a "show factory" here, doing the minimal they legally can do, with the lion's share of actual production still being done in China. And only so they can get a tax break and not face tariffs. Either that, or send Chinese workers to the US with their Chinese bosses, limiting contact with anyone not in the loop, while they blatently violate US laws to keep costs down.
In China they have a factory building robots. By robots at night they shut off the lights. And let the assembly line run all by itself.
No people needed.
That's our future.
jobs aren't even the problem, jobs are just sources of productivity. the real question were asking is "where will we get income".... this dynamic basically stacks data centers and robotics facilities above social security, in other words if you are already wealthy you stay wealthy but you have to pay global community tax so unemployed people have income... cause you're unemployed too you just 'own' the factories
There are people that don't want ai to replace them? Do they not feel horrible about themselves? Their job doesn't help anyone, yet they're still permitted to work it out of pity. That's the situation they desire to be in?
It's not "the right" dismissing it. Hundreds of Democratic representatives are just as vested or just as beholden to AI companies. This isn't a left right issue, this is a money in politics issue.
Those jobs will certainly not be done by the kid's whose parents own the companies... That's for "other people". I'm tired of these college grads that outright refuse to do manual labor. You keep looking for a job and we provide you with one, but no, that's not the kind of job you want....
Incredible that morons believe that AI can think for itself. These people are the same idiots that believed in Y2K. AI only knows what it is coded/programmed/taught, it does not think on it's own, nor can it do anything rogue.
I had this conversation yesterday...
These big companies wants record high productions by robots that work 24H replacing humans. Job will be scarce. Social problem will be thru the roof. They FORGOT, who is gonna buy their products when ppl dont have money. The economy will collapsed.
These are the same morons that said the grid couldn't handle the demand for charging EVs, yet they want data centers that take the power that could charge 100,000s to over a million EVs.
And yet, we watch videos on our phones and laptops, using data centers....we are the problem too. They will outsource the data centers to 3rd world countries. They are already building here in Malaysia, taking Kuala Lumpur's water that we cannot afford to give up. People think it will bring high skilled jobs but, no, again the rich take advantage the poor. 😢
At this point Trump is just running on momentum. A relentless push to the end to grab as much of everything as he can before he dies. With his last breath he wants to be able to brag about how much more he has than anybody else.
"AMERICA AND HER INTERESTS" IS ONLY ABOUT UNREGULATED CAPITALISM AND CONSUNERISM. SO THAT ALL THE WEALTH IS ACCUMULATED AND PROTECTED AT THE TOP. WAKE UP PEOPLE.

CAPITALISM MUST DIE.
Why would you need humans to build and fix the robotics when you are making ai and robotics to replace human labour? Seems like a perfect job for robots to do
Yes A.I. will create a lot of American jobs. Once the banged out power stations fail that burn "White Coal" the power suppliers can fit giant crank handles to the turbines. American peopls can then walk off their bankrupt farms and power the turbines.
silly Jon, they put those nets outside Amazon factories. and at least the workers in Chinese sweatshops get to own their homes instead of renting their whole life
Howard seems like a practical man, I bet his resume is very straight to the point too. I bet it reads something like: Integrity for sale. Will say anything for many moneys.
Money is worthless if it doesn't move. To be more specific: money is only worth something in the moment it is being moved. It's worth the thing which it's payed for. After that, it's just paper waiting for the next move. Nevertheless, having money is a promise on how much money you'll be able to move. Not more not less. And no, I don't know why this came into my mind after watching this video. Have a nice day.

Oh, and Trump is an idiot.
That’s what happens when you have billionaires running your government who are totally out of touch the citizens of the country. Why do we vote for these people
Even if the United States does get a handle on controlling AI, there needs to be an outreach to other countries that are in the same position. I know there's some talk about it. Talk. There's talk.
Give people the robot so we can send the robot to work and send the people not the companies the paychecks from the labor that the robots are f**** doing. Andrew Yang proposed check I want to say monthly or bi-weekly about paying people a check
AI will replace human jobs but we don't have to fear it.

For example: Teachers in school. There is not enough teachers to have one teacher per student. However with AI we don't replace all human teachers. We still have the human teacher teaching the class, then supplemental AI teachers for each individual student that can specifically help that child learn the lesson in a way that best suited to their learning habits.

What about Doctors? Currently AI cant be implemented to replace some human jobs, but what about Veterinarians? We still keep human veterinarians but AI can help pick up signs that your pet may need to see a vet for health issues, this would be a great help to pet owners that dont understand their pets behaviors. This is a personal job that doesnt exist right now, that AI can do, not replacing humans.

AI will replace a lot of menial jobs, like assembly line workers. HOWEVER we should push for UBI and tax corporations that use this automation over human labor.

We should try to find more ways we can work with AI to improve things, and not let AI just completely replace us.
A number of companied laid of staff replacing them with AI, then hired a number back once the penny dropped. AI still needs management and management needs a pipeline of staff/trainees. Its a lot like the cloud, they need buy-in to finance it, but its never the whole answer which never seems to get explained.
