What amazes me, is that Netanyahu had saw empowering Hamas as a better and safer alternative to the secular PA in the West Bank, since their moderate position was for Palestinian statehood, whereas Hamas was not only against statehood but also rejected Israel. And so rather than allowing the UN or the US into Gaza to oversee the distribution of food, aid, healthcare and education, Netanyahu allowed a few nations and select workers into Gaza which he knew would windup towards Hamas’ benefit. While at the same time, he has done what he could to undercut the PA in the West Bank.<br><br>How’d that work out.

By now, UN walkouts during the Israeli prime minister's speech are a yearly ritual. Nothing new, nothing unexpected.
