I remember being up late and seeing the breaking news of Diana dying. I had just sort of become obsessed with her and the royals at the time. I was kind of shook. She was one of my favorite people. I was excited to see what else she was going to do. Even at such a young age, I immediately suspected that The Windsors were responsible. Still do.

There are definitely conspiracy theories around Diana&#39;s death, with the biggest one being that she and Dodi were deliberately killed by the British establishment/royal family, with MI6 sometimes implicated. People point to things like the reported flash in the tunnel, the missing white Fiat Uno, Diana allegedly saying she feared someone would cause a car accident, and claims that she was pregnant or planning to marry Dodi, a Muslim, which allegedly wouldn&#39;t have been acceptable to the Royal Family.<br><br>But when you look at the actual investigations, they found no evidence of an assassination plot. The British inquest jury concluded that Diana and Dodi were unlawfully killed because of the grossly negligent driving of Henri Paul and the paparazzi pursuing them. He was speeding and had been drinking, and neither Diana nor Dodi was wearing a seatbelt. So while there are definitely details that have fuelled the conspiracy theories, the official finding was essentially a tragic chain of reckless decisions rather than a planned murder.

I know that&#39;s the point because that happens in real life with &quot;men in charge&quot; and the women in their lives. Regarding Olivia getting kidnapped; Shonda Rhimes and Kerry Washington are black women. So they most definitely understood the significance of kidnapping and placing a black woman on auction. <br><br>I think I read somewhere they deliberately did that to Olivia as they also knew that during that time some unfortunate Nigerian ‘Black’ girls were kidnapped from school 🏫 and there was that ‘bring back our girls’ campaign. Which was trying to get the world 🌍 to care and do something as black girls have been taken.<br><br>So in TV fantasy land they made a storyline where a black person is taken then returned safely because people moved heaven and earth to make it happen. <br><br>Tbh Scandal often does this I.e the Brandon storyline. In reality that father would have been gunned down long before the matter made national news 🗞️. Even if it did make national news, no president would make a Brandon Bill 😢.

Mellie deserved better. Fitz and Olivia were trash the entire show. They both lied, schemed and killed with no qualms about it. Fitz was especially hypocritical towards Mellie and treated her horribly throughout the show.

The writing for S4 and S5 was so wonky. If Liv thought being with Fitz while he&#39;s President is such a career and life sacrifice, why hadn&#39;t she ever considered any of this during the previous six years? It makes no logical sense. Why was Mellie so easily manipulated by Cyrus? There are things going on with the writing that are not consistent.

Oliva and Fitz belong together perfectly, both of them are the king and queen of tantrums. Her dad was right, she has no clue of the things he has been protecting her from but she doesn&#39;t want to let him be right because she&#39;s so childish. This is why she needs her Fitz card to pull in a crisis not to call on Daddy who is above Fitz pay grade. The more incredibly selfish thing is Olivia actually doesn&#39;t want Mellie&#39;s place, she needs that don&#39;t call daddy card in tact. My boys!! Too much fun. You know seeing this show so many years later and now a full adult, liv and fitz don&#39;t belong together but I see the appeal. They are kryptonite to one another. And although I have empathy for Millie in certain ways she&#39;s a piece of work too. Abby and The DA are about the only clean characters. The sad thing is that impeachment is not the stain it was meant to be unless you&#39;re voted out of office. Fitz could get impeached but most likely survive being voted out of office since it is a 2/3rds vote.
