Cruz is leaving out the little detail that inflation was at its peak in 2022 under Biden because of Covid, which not only impacted the U.S. but every country globally. In 2023 is where we began to see a drastic decline in inflation once the world began to stabilize from the aftermath of Covid. Inflation is high under Trump because he chose to enter a war in the Middle East after Biden exited the war in the Middle East (not in the most smoothest way, but any president exiting a 20+ year war would have struggled). The point is that Trump knew prices would increase and entered an unnecessary war anyways. Biden inherited Covid and the beginning of Trump&#39;s 2nd term was reveling in the benefits of that recovery for the economy. Trumps 1st term once again inherited a rise of the U.S. economy from Obama after years of bouncing back from the 2008 market crash.
