Not a single peep.<br><br>Trump renames a lake and the left loses their minds.<br><br>Ps. The majority of us Army lifers opposed the base name changes and still call it by the original names. Luckily, Fort Bragg reverted from Liberty back to Bragg.
If anyone wants a web based map company that hasnt fallen in line, MapQuest (based out of my hometown of Denver) still has lake Ontario and the Gulf of Mexico labeled correctly.
My grandson is in middle school. Even though he uses the phone on the way there and the on the way home it has to be turned off in school. If anyone finds the kid using the phone in school the teacher takes it away until they're going home. If I was the teacher I would take it away and tell the kid your parents have to come to school and pick it up if you want it back. I know I would get some talk back from parents but I would say look if your kid can't obey the rules that's your fault. Tell your kid to obey rules and then this doesn't happen. What are you a trump supporter? I might not say that last part but I would think it.
Next up. Atlantic Ocean becomes American Ocean. Then the national language is renamed, American.

President Trump signed an executive order on August 27, 2026, directing federal agencies to officially rename Lake Ontario as “Lake America” within the United States. The renaming coincides with an escalating trade war and tariff dispute between the U.S. and Canada. The move mirrors Trump's earlier domestic rebrand of the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America". Trump also recently suggested renaming New Mexico to "New America". While Trump can instruct U.S. federal agencies, maps, and databases to update their nomenclature within 30 days, he has no legal authority to force Canada, foreign governments, or international bodies to adopt the new name.
