I have worked as a senior operator supervisor for a major frozen plant in in i idaho. Out of 500÷ employees speak any English. None. The owner doesn&#39;t require visas or verification of a US citizenship so my job is a hot spot for Mexicans. I have nothing against them but its frustrating when I have to give them directions and I know more of their language than they know America&#39;s. Some ive worked with for 10 years and still cant understand number or known phrases at work or basic words in English. Like dawg the paperwork youre doing is in English do you even know what the hell you&#39;re signing off to????? I understand everyone’s frustration with cases like this. I also agree the individual shouldn’t even be in the country; however, the simple way to avoid this would have been to make sure this individual received their appropriate arraignment, hearing and bond hearing within a reasonable timeframe. I’m not suggesting the individual has constitutional rights to speedy trial or anything else. I’m just saying the legal system does have prescribed time frames for all of these things and if they have exceeded those time frames in this individual’s case, it’s probably why the judge released him. We have to do better as a nation or we’re no better than those we accuse of inhumane treatment around the world. This should’ve been an easy Peezy hearing and release him to El Salvador‘s authorities. Somebody may have dropped the ball and now they need to set things up so they can pick that ball back up.
