01 Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run Vidnexa and keep your account secure. This falls into four broad categories:
- Account information — your username, email address, and password. Passwords are hashed with a modern algorithm and never stored in plain text.
- Content you create — videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, comments, likes, subscriptions, and playlists.
- Usage data — IP address, browser and device type, referring pages, and the videos you watch so we can improve recommendations.
- Cookies & local storage — small files used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure performance. You can clear these at any time from your browser.
02 How we use your information
Every piece of data we collect serves a specific purpose. We use it to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve Vidnexa and its features.
- Personalize your experience — including video recommendations and feed ordering.
- Send you service-related notices such as security alerts and account updates.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

03 Sharing of information
We only share your information in these limited cases:
- With service providers — trusted vendors who help us host content, send emails, process payments, and analyze usage. They are bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
- For legal reasons — when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Vidnexa, our users, or the public.
- With your consent — whenever you explicitly ask us to share information with a third party or integration.
- Business transfers — if Vidnexa is ever merged or acquired, your data may transfer as part of the transaction. We will notify you before that happens.
04 Cookies & tracking
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of Vidnexa (like staying signed in) may stop working as a result. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
05 Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding your personal data. Vidnexa extends the following rights to all users regardless of location:

- Correction — fix inaccurate or incomplete information.

06 Security
We take the security of your account seriously. Vidnexa uses industry-standard measures including:

- Regular security reviews and prompt patching of known vulnerabilities.
No system is 100% secure. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, reset your password immediately and contact security@vidnexa.com.
07 Children's privacy
Vidnexa is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice before they take effect.
